A brief history of the Seattle Channel's conversion from RealMedia to Flash followed by a description of the city's video encoding and publishing process. The Seattle Channel is currently using Adobe Flash Media Streaming Server, Adobe Flash Player and Ajax to host and stream H.264/MPEG4 and FLV files. - 11:15 Open discussion

SQL injection has become part of the background noise of the Internet. During one month in 2008, the City of Seattle recorded an attack attempt every 11 seconds. This presentation will cover:- Definition: what SQL injection is, the goal of the attack, and why it is so pervasive
- Taxonomy: the various methods in which SQL injection is attempted
- Detection: how attacks show up in web server and database logs
- Recovery: cleaning up successful injection attacks
- Prevention: server, database and web application code techniques to prevent occurrence
