Volunteer Partnerships, Public Involvement and Participation
The principle behind the state's Salmon Strategy Framework is that local governments must play a central role to integrate local control and knowledge, and to coordinate, implement and monitor local, regional, and public-private resource protection efforts. Volunteer and nonprofit groups have an important role in achieving the state's objectives.
